Born and raised in Clinton, Iowa, Jim Daniels is a midwestern boy through and through. He enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, bicycling, anything to fight off cabin fever. Give Jim some charcoal and a chunk of meat, he’ll be happy to put some char on it. If it’s going to take all day, make sure there’s a cooler nearby with beverages.
Radio and music has been a passion ever since he was a kid. It began while spending time with his grandma and her love of listening to music and calling her favorite station to play contests. Jim got the idea early on that the radio was a great place to lift people up and provide a fun escape. He tries to this day to provide that for listeners every day.
Career wise, he’s worked in Cedar Rapids, IA, Topeka, KS and Kansas City. Long time KFKF listeners might remember Jim as EBJ (Errand Boy Jim) working on the morning show with Dale and Mary from 1996-2006. After hosting a morning show in Topeka for 18 years, Jim is thrilled to call KFKF home again as the weekday afternoon host from 2pm-7pm.
