Miracle-Ear is on a Mission to give away free hearing aids to those in need! The Miracle-Ear Mission is being held on October 1, 2022, at Kauffman Stadium.
If you or someone you know is suffering with hearing loss and do not have the finances or resources for hearing aids – Miracle-Ear can help. The event is open to anyone who is in need and meets the qualifications, including military veterans that do not qualify for hearing help with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and underprivileged children suffering from hearing loss that do not qualify for state assistance.
Qualified applicants will walk out of Kauffman Stadium with free prescriptive hearing aids and the lifetime after care for the devices.
“We’re proud to support better hearing in the Kansas City communities,” said Tiffany Davis, president of Miracle-Ear Midwest. “When given the chance to improve lives through the ‘Gift of Sound,’ we want to ensure every Kansas City area resident has the opportunity.”
Miracle-Ear Midwest and The Miracle-Ear Foundation wants to spread awareness about the importance of hearing healthcare and hearing loss.
Medical research shows the undisputed negative impact of hearing loss with aspects, such as cognitive abilities, social isolation, depression, economic and educational disadvantages, and the overall quality of life. Left untreated, hearing loss can be devastating for individuals and their families.
In the U.S., a reported one in eight people aged 12 or older have hearing loss in both ears. And the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports hearing loss is the third most common chronic physical condition the U.S. population suffers from.
