John McEuen, a multi-instrumentalist and founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, began his career as a teen at Disneyland’s Magic Shop before turning to music. He helped create the landmark Will the Circle Be Unbroken album, performing with legends like Earl Scruggs and Mother Maybelle Carter, earning multi-platinum status and a place in the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Over his 50-year career, John has released 46 albums, earned multiple CMA, ACM, and Grammy awards, produced Steve Martin’s Grammy-winning The Crow, and received lifetime achievement honors for preserving folk music. He retired from touring in 2017 and shares his story in The Life I’ve Picked (2018).
